We are heartbroken as we remember and honor the life of Ryle McFarland, a beloved and cherished Chi Alpha student leader whose passing has left an immeasurable ache in the hearts of all who knew her. Ryle was a radiant light in every room she entered—overflowing with joy, sincerity, and a kindness that made people feel instantly seen, valued, and loved.
Ryle’s faith was the foundation of her life. She loved Jesus wholeheartedly, not only with her words, but through the way she lived each day. Her relationship with Christ was genuine and vibrant, and it shaped the way she treated others—with grace, compassion, patience, and an open heart. To know Ryle was to experience a reflection of Christ’s love in action. She didn’t just talk about faith; she lived it boldly and beautifully.
As a Chi Alpha student leader, Ryle served with humility and enthusiasm. She had a gift for encouraging others, walking alongside them in both joy and struggle, and helping them feel welcomed and safe. She led not from a place of status, but from a place of deep care. Her laughter, her warmth, and her unwavering support created spaces where people could grow in faith and community. Many lives were touched—and changed—because Ryle chose to love others intentionally and selflessly.
Beyond her leadership, Ryle was simply a joy to be around. She had a contagious smile, a gentle spirit, and an ability to bring light even into difficult moments. She celebrated others wholeheartedly and carried herself with a rare blend of strength and tenderness. Her presence brought comfort, and her absence is deeply felt.
While our hearts grieve this tremendous loss, we hold tightly to the hope and joy of our faith. We cling to the promise that Ryle is now fully in the presence of Jesus—whole, at peace, and embraced by the One she loved so deeply. Though we mourn her absence here on earth, we rejoice in the assurance that this is not goodbye, but “until we meet again.”
