Nolan Davis Wife Murder-Suicide Glendale, AZ: Arizona mother killed two juvenile children, before taking own life in northwest Phoenix; Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill shooting

A heartbreaking series of events in northwest Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona, has left a community in shock after authorities say a mother fatally shot her two young children before taking her own life following an earlier shooting at a local sports bar.

Police say the tragic chain of violence unfolded during the early morning hours of May 25, beginning at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill near 61st Avenue and Bell Road and ending inside a home in northwest Phoenix where a woman and her two children were later found dead.

According to Glendale police spokesperson Jose Santiago, the adult woman involved in the incident is believed to have first opened fire at the sports bar shortly after midnight. Authorities said a man told officers that his wife arrived at the establishment and began shooting at him during a confrontation inside or near the business.

During the shooting, another woman was struck in the back of the head. Officials said the injured woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Following the shooting, the suspect reportedly fled the area in a gray SUV. According to investigators, the husband later received alarming text messages from his wife stating that she intended to harm their children.

The situation escalated rapidly as Glendale and Phoenix police officers responded to a home in the 4800 block of West Paradise Lane after receiving information that the children could be in danger. Santiago said officers were particularly alarmed after the husband reportedly received a photograph showing one of the children bleeding from the head.

Authorities entered the home around 2:30 a.m. and made a devastating discovery.

Inside the residence, officers found a 10-year-old boy, an 18-month-old girl, and the adult woman deceased from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Phoenix Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced all three dead at the scene.

Phoenix police Sgt. Lorraine Fernandez described the tragedy as deeply emotional for first responders and investigators alike.

“It is very difficult to deal with today,” Fernandez said. “No one wants to see harm done to children.”

Police have identified the case as a murder-suicide investigation, with authorities believing the mother was responsible for the deaths of both children before taking her own life.

The devastating incident has sent shockwaves throughout the local community as neighbors, friends, and relatives attempt to process the unimaginable loss of two young children whose lives ended in such tragic circumstances.

Family members gathered near the neighborhood later that day seeking privacy and support during the overwhelming grief. Felicia Queen, identified as a cousin of the children’s father, spoke briefly while asking for prayers for the family as they struggle to cope with the tragedy.

Investigators continue working to piece together the timeline leading up to the shootings and determine what may have triggered the violent events. Authorities have not publicly released the names of the deceased at this time.

The incident has also renewed conversations surrounding domestic violence, emotional crises, and mental health struggles that can sometimes escalate into devastating family tragedies. Experts frequently emphasize the importance of recognizing warning signs, seeking support during moments of crisis, and intervening early when threats of violence emerge.
