A tragic murder-suicide in northwest Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona, has left a family and community devastated after authorities say a mother fatally shot her two young children before taking her own life following an earlier shooting at a local sports bar.

According to investigators, the series of violent events began shortly after midnight on May 25 at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill near 61st Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale. Police say the woman arrived at the business and opened fire during a confrontation involving her husband.

During the shooting, another woman was struck in the back of the head and later transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Authorities said the suspect fled the area in a gray SUV. Shortly afterward, the husband reportedly began receiving disturbing text messages from his wife indicating that she intended to harm their children.
Glendale and Phoenix police officers responded to a home in the 4800 block of West Paradise Lane after receiving information that the children could be in danger. Investigators said officers became increasingly concerned after the father reportedly received a photograph showing one of the children bleeding from the head.
When officers entered the residence around 2:30 a.m., they discovered a devastating scene. Inside the home, police found a 10-year-old boy, an 18-month-old girl, and the children’s mother dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Phoenix Fire Department personnel pronounced all three deceased at the scene.
Police later identified the case as a murder-suicide investigation, with authorities believing the mother was responsible for the deaths of both children before taking her own life.
Family members identified the children as Austin Davis, 10, and Andolan Davis, 2. Relatives described Austin as a spirited and energetic child who deeply loved his father, while Andolan was remembered as a sweet toddler with bright, beautiful eyes.
The children’s father, Nolan Davis, is now mourning the loss of his wife, children, and the life he built with his family. Loved ones say the grief has been overwhelming as relatives struggle to comprehend the tragedy.
“In the early hours of Sunday and Monday, a devastating incident occurred,” a family member said. “The pain and heartbreak are indescribable. Nolan has lost everything—his family, his home, and the life he built over many years.”
Phoenix police Sgt. Lorraine Fernandez described the tragedy as emotionally difficult for both investigators and first responders.
“It is very difficult to deal with today,” Fernandez said. “No one wants to see harm done to children.”
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community as neighbors, friends, and relatives gather to support one another during the aftermath of the tragedy. Family members, including cousin Felicia Queen, have asked for prayers for the Davis, Queens, and Deckers families as they attempt to process the unimaginable loss.
Investigators continue working to establish a complete timeline of events and determine what may have led to the violence.
