Daniel Broadhead Jesup, GA Obituary – Cause of Death: University of Georgia Mourn The Sudden Loss Of Beloved Student, Eagle Scout

The Jesup, Georgia community is mourning the loss of Daniel Broadhead, who passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 31. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Daniel will be remembered for his faith, academic achievements, athletic excellence, and the positive impact he made on everyone who knew him.

Born in Atlanta, Daniel spent most of his life in Wayne County and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith played a central role throughout his life. He faithfully served a two-year mission in Indiana and attended Seminary daily, demonstrating a deep commitment to his beliefs and community.

Daniel graduated as an Honor Graduate from Wayne County High School in 2013. During his school years, he distinguished himself as an Eagle Scout and an elite athlete, excelling as a member of the Wayne County Cross Country and Track teams. His dedication and talent earned him a running scholarship to Augusta University, where he continued pursuing both his academic and athletic goals. At the time of his passing, he was a student at the University of Georgia.

Running was more than a sport for Daniel—it was a passion that shaped much of his life. Whether competing in races, training with teammates, or participating in CrossFit, he approached every challenge with determination, discipline, and enthusiasm.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Betty Broadhead, and Patricia L. Rush.

He leaves behind his father, Wayne (Kathy) Broadhead of Jesup; his mother, Dj (Jim) Adams of Flowery Branch; sister Shelley Sears of Cumming; brothers Dustin (Haylee) Broadhead of Kennesaw and Benjamin (Ashley) Broadhead of Hawaii; along with several step-siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, Daniel Broadhead’s legacy of faith, perseverance, service, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
