Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the loss of Brian P. Signorella, who passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 39. Though his life ended far too soon, those who knew him will remember a man whose kindness, determination, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Born on August 17, 1986, to Michael and Karen Signorella, Brian grew up in Maple Park, Illinois, where he developed the values and work ethic that would define his life. A graduate of Kaneland High School’s Class of 2004, Brian was widely known for his dedication to wrestling, a sport he embraced from the age of eight. Through years of hard work and perseverance, he became an IKWF Middle School State Finalist, earning second place as an eighth grader and later enjoying a successful high school wrestling career. The sport not only shaped his character but also helped create friendships that lasted throughout his life.
Following high school, Brian attended Waubonsee Community College before transferring to Northern Illinois University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. During his college years, he experienced a profound spiritual journey and embraced the Catholic faith, a decision that became an important part of his identity and life story.
In 2012, Brian met Amber Semmerling at a concert in Aurora, Illinois. What began as a chance meeting soon blossomed into a deep and enduring love. The couple married on July 2, 2017, at Aquaviva Winery in Maple Park and later made their home in Elgin. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family and were blessed with two daughters, Ella and Abby, who became the greatest joy of Brian’s life.
A lifelong technology enthusiast, Brian’s fascination with computers began in his youth. He loved taking computers apart, learning how they worked, and finding creative solutions to technical challenges. This passion led to a successful career in information technology, beginning with Kaneland Schools and later continuing through various professional and entrepreneurial ventures. He ultimately found fulfillment as a Senior Applications Developer, where his intelligence, creativity, and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and peers.
Outside of work, Brian was known for his ability to bring people together. Whether hosting family gatherings, organizing outings, or simply spending time with friends, he had a gift for making others feel welcome and included. He loved playing bags, spending time with family, and creating memories with those he loved.
One of Brian’s favorite places was the Lake of the Ozarks, where he enjoyed boating and sharing unforgettable experiences with family and friends. The lake held a special place in his heart, serving as the backdrop for significant milestones, including his proposal to Amber and celebrations with loved ones.
Above all, Brian was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. His compassion, generosity, and ability to connect with others touched countless lives.
He is survived by his wife, Amber; daughters Ella and Abby; parents Michael and Karen Signorella; brother Anthony Signorella; nephew Logan; niece Ava; extended family members; mother-in-law Dawn Semmerling; and many dear friends.
Though deeply missed, Brian’s legacy of love, friendship, perseverance, and family devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in his remarkable life.
