Originally from the town of Ghaziyeh in southern Lebanon, Rayan had built her life in Hamilton, where she was known through Harb Real Estate and for the meaningful relationships she formed within her community. Friends described her as a kind, genuine, and caring person who brought warmth to those around her. In a heartfelt tribute, Laila Shey wrote, “Rest in paradise my sweet friend. You deserved so much more… Sending strength to your family. Rayan, you will be truly missed,” reflecting the profound grief felt by those who knew her.
According to reports, Rayan lost her life on Wednesday evening following a horrific collision on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway in Hamilton. Police said she lost control of her vehicle after an initial collision with another vehicle before crossing into oncoming traffic and striking a truck. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. A Quran recitation gathering was held at the Islamic Centre in Hamilton in her memory, with funeral prayers following Friday prayers before her burial at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
