The King City R-I School District community is deeply saddened by the loss of Keira Kessler, a dedicated first-grade teacher in the elementary building. While this notice serves as a remembrance of her profound impact, we choose to celebrate the incredible educator and person she was.
Miss Kessler was passionately “killing” her first year as a classroom teacher, taking every challenge head-on. She poured immense work into creating a fun and engaging learning environment where every student felt genuinely loved and valued. Her commitment was an inspiration to all.
A proud product of the district’s “Grow Your Own” program, Keira’s journey from a dedicated paraprofessional to a first-year teacher exemplified her deep-rooted dedication to King City’s students. She was learning the ropes with grace, enthusiasm, and a natural talent for connecting with children.
Her colleague, Ashley Proffitt, shared, “I appreciated her as a coworker and I can’t wait to continue working with her on the 1st grade level!” This sentiment echoes throughout the school halls, where Keira’s positivity and collaborative spirit left a lasting mark.
Thank you, Keira, for everything you did for the students of the King City R-I School District. Your passion, warmth, and joyful approach to teaching created a legacy of kindness that will not be forgotten. You will be dearly missed by your students, colleagues, and all whose lives you touched.
