Pierce Lenton Hinkston Obituary – Cause of Death Stanford, KY: In Loving Memory Of Pierce Lenton Hinkston

STANFORD, Ky. — The Stanford community is mourning the loss of Pierce Lenton Hinkston, who died on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 20.

Born on Feb. 25, 2006, in Lexington, Hinkston was the son of Bryan Lenton Hinkston and Sara Ledford Slone. A 2024 graduate of Danville High School, he was a member of the school’s wrestling team, where he competed alongside his teammates throughout his high school years.

Family members said Hinkston enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an avid gamer who spent much of his free time connecting with friends online and enjoyed photography, often capturing everyday moments through his camera lens. He also had an interest in cooking and liked trying new recipes and exploring different foods.

Those who knew him said he had a love for animals, particularly his dog, Stan, and also enjoyed spending time with cats. He was known within his family for sharing playful moments with his younger brother and maintaining close relationships with his siblings.

Hinkston is survived by his mother, Sara Slone and her husband, Clay; his father, Bryan Hinkston and his companion, Sara Young; siblings Bryce Hill, Gabe Hinkston, Raelynn Slone, Kayla Slone, and Kirsten Slone; as well as his grandparents, great-grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Chris Hinkston, and his cousin, Alexis Murphy.

Family and friends will have an opportunity to pay their respects during services scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will take place afterward at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

As loved ones prepare to celebrate his life, tributes continue to reflect on the memories he shared with family and friends and the impact he made on those who knew him.
