Kortni tragically died following a head-on collision on Friday evening in Blount County. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash took place around 7:10 p.m. on Blount County 27 near County Road 24. Investigators said she was driving a 2020 Toyota Camry when it collided head-on with a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. After the impact, her vehicle caught fire, and despite emergency response efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that the four occupants of the Nissan Pathfinder, including the driver, an adult passenger, and two children, were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. State troopers are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
